Practical experience

Yajana specializes in general litigation with a strong focus on commercial & corporate law and employment law, in addition she has extensive banking law and corporate legal recoveries experience. 

Some of the matters that she has been involved in include the following: 

• Appointed by the South African Tourism to provide a legal opinion on misconduct on one of its employees.
• Attorneys for Pegasus Pty Ltd in handling an urgent application to set aside a sale of a property of R10.5 million Rands. 
• Assisting the Public Investments Corporation in litigation, involving the sale of shares in one of its subsidiary companies.
• Assisting the South African Nursing Council in labor related matters, and in providing an opinion in terms of section 57 of the Nursing Act.
• Representing the Department of Home Affairs in chairing a disciplinary hearing and providing legal advice.
• Previously represented various banks in matters and collections and legal recoveries.
• Advises clients on complex and high-level labour and employment law matters.  Yajana is involved and actively providing advice and her regular clients include Road Accident Fund, Department of Home Affairs, Pegasus (Pty) LTD, Public Investment Corporation, Department of Home Affairs, Border Management Authority, the Competition Commission, and South African Nursing Council.
