Practical experience

Janet is a dynamic Associate at our firm. with experience in Commercial, Corporate and Labour law. She is currently a member of our Commercial Litigation department. Her expertise spans a wide range of complex legal matters, including:

• Instruction by the National Lotteries Commission (NLC) to conduct and review the Lotteries Act 57 of 1997, as amended, as well as its accompanying Regulations;
• Instruction to initiate review proceedings in the High Court to review and set aside a tender for the acquisition of Staff Transport by the Airports Company of South Africa (ACSA);
• Instruction by the South African Revenue Services (SARS) to institute legal proceedings against defaulting taxpayers;
• Conducting disciplinary investigations and hearings (including the drafting of charge sheets);
• Instructed to initiate review applications in the Labour Court on behalf of the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC);
• The drafting, vetting and negotiations of various contracts.
