Practical experience

Janet is a dynamic Associate at our firm with experience in Commercial, Corporate and Labour Law. She is currently a member of our Commercial Litigation Department.

Her expertise spans a wide range of complex legal matters, including:

• Instruction by the NLC to conduct and review the Lotteries Act 57 of 1997, as amended, as well as its accompanying regulations.
• Instruction to initiate review proceedings in the High Court to review and set aside a tender for the acquisition of staff transport by ACSA.
• Instruction by SARS to institute legal proceedings against defaulting taxpayers.
• Conducting disciplinary investigations and hearings (including the drafting of charge sheets).
• Instructed to initiate review applications in the Labour Court on behalf of the Road Traffic Management Corporation (RTMC).
• Drafting, vetting and negotiating of various contracts.
