Donald specialises in corporate law and employment law. Some of the matters that he has been involved in include the following: 

• Appointed by the Central Energy Fund to advise on the merger of its subsidiaries to establish a single petroleum company of South Africa. 
• Lead transaction advisor of Trans-Caledon Tunnel Authority to raise R 8 Billion comprising of revolving credit facilities and a term loan facility from various financial institutions for new capital expenditure, servicing of the existing debt portfolio, including the redemption of a maturing debt. 
• Conducting a legal due diligence investigation for the Public Investment Corporation’s (PIC) proposed acquisition transaction of R 800 0000, 00 (Eight Hundred Million).  Regularly advises the PIC on commercial law matters
• Acts for the Competition Commission on various matters at the Competition Tribunal.
• Instructed by Denel SOC Ltd to review the Public Protector’s State of Capture Report and assist Denel in preparing for the investigation and appearance at the Commission of Inquiry to Investigate Allegations of State Capture (Zondo Commission).
• Represented the Registrar of Medical Schemes in placing various medical schemes under curatorship in terms of section 56 of the Medical Schemes Act.
• Advised and represented Transnet National Ports Authority at hearings convened by the Ports Regulator. 
• Advises clients on complex and high-level labour and employment law matters.  Donald’s regular clients include Armscor, Public Investment Corporation, IEC, Department of Home Affairs, Border Management Authority, City of Cape Town and Tshwane, Road Accident Fund
