Practical experience

Lefa currently practices in the commercial and general litigation department with a focus on areas such as Administrative law.  As part of his overall practice, he attends to the following:

• Advise public entities and other clients on the Constitution, Public Finance Management Act, Municipal Systems Act, procurement policies and any other applicable legislation.
• Assisted public entities with the institution of High court review and declarator applications related to fruitless and wasteful expenditure in the recover process.
• Conduct forensic and due diligence investigations and providing necessary recommendations
• Draft court processes (action and application proceedings), and appearances in the Magistrates Courts.
• Assist clients with reviewing and drafting contracts (lease agreements, supply agreements, service level agreements, etc.).
• Advise clients in insolvency litigation related matters, including advising on the Companies Act and Insolvency Act.
